The Ho West District Assembly held its staff durbar on Friday 23rd October, 2020 at the Assembly Hall. Addressing the durbar, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Ernest Victor Apau congratulated and thanked staff for the good work done in ensuring the Assembly pass the DPAT Assessment despites the challenges.
He stated that staff should continue to work in unity and project the image of the Assembly to ensure the development of the district. On his part, the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Sylvester Ayitey in his opening remarks encouraged staff to work selflessly in the interest of the Assembly.
The Human Resource Officer, Mr Bismark Von Golloh reiterated the need for staff to continue to abide by the LGS principles Anonymity and Neutrality during this election year. He noted that any staff involved in active politics commits a serious misconduct per the Service Regulations and could lead to subsequent dismissal from the Service.
On Welfare, Mr. Golloh indicated that monthly contribution of welfare plays a critical role in the well being of members. For this reason, a five member committee was formed and tasked to come out with modalities that will ensure the active participation of staff. He also took the opportunity to appeal to staff to always protect their e-payslip password and staff ID and be extra vigilant when they receive calls from fraudsters claiming they are workers of Controller and Accountant General Department.
The event was attended by the District Chief Executive, the District Coordinating Director, Heads of Departments/Units and other members of staff. As a token of appreciation the District Chief Executive provided food for staff.

The Ho West Assembly was established by the Legislative Instrument (LI) 2083 of 2012. It is the highest political and administrative authority in the District. The population of the District stood at 94,600 as shown in Table1 (2010 Population and Housing Census).
