Site Handing Over Of Dzolo-Kpuita Saviefe Gbedome Road To Contractor In The Ho West District

The District Chief Executive, Hon Ernest Victor Apau and some members of the Congress of Chiefs has handed over site to the Contractor, Asanek Company Limited to commence work on the opening of the Dzolo-Kpuita Saviefe Gbedome road. The project is being sponsored by the Ghana Productive Safety Net Project (GPSNP) in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.

The project is supposed to be undertaken by the use of Labour Intensive Public Works (LIPW) which intends to ensure that road works, small earth dam construction and afforestation are done by manual labour by the indigenous to create short term job opportunities for poor households as well as improving the productive capacities of rural infrastructure. In his address the District Chief Executive, Hon Ernest Victor Apau, indicated that the road when opened will create access to various communities, access to farmlands which will enable farmers carry their farm produce to market centers easily as well as creating investment avenues.

He appealed to all stakeholders and community members to corporate with the contractor during the construction period. The Director of Ananek Company Limited, Mr. Danpare Kwaku stated that they will corporate with the District Assembly, Chiefs and Elders of the communities to ensure that they execute a good job.

Togbe Adza Osei VII thanked the government for initiating such a project in the district and hoped that the intended purpose will be achieved.
