The Ho West District Assembly has distributed veronica buckets, tissue papers, bowls, liquid soaps and alcohol based hand sanitizers to Assembly Members for their electoral areas to improve hygiene in the district.
The distribution exercise forms parts of the Assembly’s efforts to curb the spread of Corona virus by encouraging residents to practice regular hand washing. Electoral areas visited were Abutia Kpota, Abutia Teti, Agorve, Avenui, Etordome, Hlefi, Dodome, Awuiase, Tsito Anyigbe, Tsito Dzigbe, Anyirawase, Vane, Fume-Biakpa, Saviefe, Anfoeta-Tsyome, Kpale Etordome, Amedzofe and Avenui, The Hon Assembly Members expressed their profound gratitude to the Assembly for the gesture.
They, however indicated that the items were inadequate to serve their electoral areas and therefore called on the Assembly to procure more for onwards distribution to communities under their jurisdiction.

The Ho West Assembly was established by the Legislative Instrument (LI) 2083 of 2012. It is the highest political and administrative authority in the District. The population of the District stood at 94,600 as shown in Table1 (2010 Population and Housing Census).
