Ho West DCE Hands Over Furniture To Ghana Education Service

The Ho West District Chief Executive has handed over 600 dual desks to the District Education Directorate for onward distribution to schools in the district. The production of the desks, which was funded with money from the District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT), was to augment the short falls in furniture in schools.

Speaking at a short handing over ceremony at the forecourt of the Assembly, the DCE, Hon Ernest Victor Apau emphasised the Assembly’s commitment to quality education and hope to do more to eradicate the menace of pupils not having enough seats in the classroom. Hon Apau thanked the DPAT team for their hard work in ensuring the Assembly pass the assessment. He also called on Assembly members, unit committees, chiefs and elders and stakeholders to rally behind the district to achieve success.

The DCE took the opportunity to indicate that, as part of Covid 19 support, the Assembly has been able to construct five wash rooms which are 90% completed at Kpedze market, Kpedze lorry park, Awudome Tsito, Dededo market and Vane Market to improve hygiene in the areas. The Ho West District Director of Education, Madam Celestine Korsi Agordo thanked the Assembly for the gesture and hope for more. She assured that their outfit will distribute the furniture fairly and ensure its maintenance. Source: ISD
