The Ho West District Chief Executive, Hon Ernest Victor Apau on Friday 4th December, 2020 commissioned the Medical Theatre at Kpedze Poly Clinic and 4 Unit WC Toilet facility at Kpedze Lorry Station to enhance access to health delivery and sanitation in the district.
In his address, the DCE stated that the new medical theatre will allow the Poly Clinic respond to urgent needs of people that needed to undergo operations. He indicated that the government has also promised to construct District Hospital at Kpedze with 150 bed capacity to boost health care in the district.
The Paramount Chief of Kpedze Togbe Atsridom V indicated his profound gratitude to the government for the construction of the facilities in the community. He expressed his joy about the construction of the District Hospital at Kpedze and also charged members to help in taking proper care of the facilities to ensure its longitivity.
The Assembly members of the area advised the youth to embrace peace during and after the elections. In attendance were the District Chief Executive, Chiefs and Opinion leaders, Hon Assembly Members, Religious leaders, Heads of Departments/Units and GPRTU Members.
The Ho West Assembly was established by the Legislative Instrument (LI) 2083 of 2012. It is the highest political and administrative authority in the District. The population of the District stood at 94,600 as shown in Table1 (2010 Population and Housing Census).
