Abutia Teti And Agorve Disaster Victims Receives Support In Ho West

The Hon Volta Regional Minister Dr Archibald Yao Letsa, Ho West District Chief Executive, Hon Ernest Victor Apau, Hon Elizabeth Ohene, Special Adviser to H.E the President together with NADMO officials successfully handed over relief items worth 100,000 to disaster victims on 1st May, 2020.

The items include roofing sheets, nails, bags of cement and iron rods. Togbe Abutia Kodzo Gidi IV (Paramount Chief of Abutia) his elders and beneficiaries were very appreciative of governments gesture. The Hon District Chief Executive used the occasion to remind the people of his agenda of ensuring massive tree planting activities throughout the district to reduce risk of storms affecting houses in future and stated that various water bodies will also be saved which will improve our rainfall pattern.

He noted that Abutia Development Union was the first among 15 groups who have already applied for free seedlings to help successful implementation of the intervention. Hon Apau touted a number of development projects in the Abutia enclave indicating that no area of Ho West is being discriminated against in development activities. The general public were however, reminded of the need to practice improve hygiene, wearing of nose and physical distancing among others in the fight against Covid 19.
